Nearly 46% of first-generation college students drop out during their first year, compared to just 26% of students whose parents both attended college. The issue isn’t a lack of ability, it’s a lack of access to basic necessities, ongoing support, and a sense of belonging during that critical first year.
Nationally, Students who receive support have a 92% graduation rate and a 94% retention rate—staggering compared to just 38% and 35% for those without it. They’re more likely to finish college, maintain a higher GPA (3.7 vs. 2.2), and secure stable careers (90% vs. 35% career placement). These numbers reflect more than just success—they represent confidence, belonging, and resilience.
